The initial findings and recommendations of the Fan Led Review of Football Governance were published yesterday in this letter from Tracey Crouch MP.

While the findings are not surprising, the initial recommendations are notable; in particular, the letter recommends that a new Independent Regulator for English Football (IREF) is established. While the clamour for increased regulation in football has increased recently in light of the European Super League saga, the proposed scope of the IREF is limited and will not address 'football issues'.

Final recommendations are expected in the Autumn. It will be interesting to see how the recommendations are developed.
